Temporary detour installed on Brush Creek bridge project

June 3, 2015 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - EAGLE COUNTY – CDOT will begin the next phase of construction on the Brush Creek bridge project with the completion of a temporary bridge structure and detour at US 6, MP 148.35 over Brush Creek.

Beginning June 5, traffic will utilize the temporary bridge and roadway while crews demolish the existing structure and build a new structure in its place.

The main focus of construction involves replacing the bridge at US 6, MP 148.35 over Brush Creek. The project also includes installation of a new culvert in Hockett Gulch. Project boundaries begin at MP 148 and end at MP 149. Work will also include the addition of fortified embankments, paving and striping

TRAVEL IMPACTS: Travelers may expect delays on U.S. 6 during construction work hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Speeds are reduced to 35 mph and vehicles wider than 10 feet will be restricted through the project.

This $3.8 million dollar project was awarded to Ralph L. Wadsworth of Draper, Utah and is scheduled to be complete by mid-November 2015.
