Open House Set for State Highway 392 and 14

June 5, 2015 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - June 10 open house to discuss construction schedules, traffic impacts.

WELD AND LARIMER COUNTIES – The public will get a chance next week to hear plans ahead of the start of construction on two upcoming projects: the SH 392 resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation project between Windsor and Lucerne, and a concrete overlay project on SH 14 from I-25 to County Road 23.

A project open house will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. June 10 at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, hosted by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and project contractor Coulson Excavating, based in Loveland.

Representatives from CDOT and Coulson will be available to give an overview of the $5.89 million SH 392 project.  The project will resurface approximately 10 miles of SH 392. Work includes bridge rail and guardrail upgrades on five bridges between Windsor and Lucerne. The SH 392 project’s current schedule calls for construction to begin in mid-June.

CDOT project team members for the SH 14 project, along with prime contractor Interstate Highway Construction, Inc., will be on hand to answer questions about upcoming work on an 8-mile stretch from I-25 to County Road 23.  Work on this $12.23 million project is scheduled to begin in late June or early July.

“We recognize that two highway repair projects will have an impact on commuters in the region. This open house gives them an opportunity to learn more about the projects,” CDOT Resident Engineer Robin Stoneman said Friday.

For those unable to attend the open house, more information on the project is available by calling the project team at 970-833-1383 or emailing sh392windsor@PublicInfoTeam.com.
