Pothole repair work on US 6 requires closing lanes, I-25 off-ramps

March 3, 2014 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Both the northbound and southbound I-25 off-ramps to westbound US 6 will close Tuesday night at 10 p.m. and remain closed until 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning so crews can repair potholes between the Platte River and Federal Boulevard.

During the overnight closure of these ramps, motorists will need to exit at 8th Avenue.

There will be additional lane closures throughout the US 6 corridor between I-25 and Knox Court Tuesday through Thursday nights for additional pothole repair work. There will be double left lane closures in the eastbound direction and a right lane closure in the westbound direction beginning at 10 p.m. each night. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

The $98 million US 6 Bridges Design-Build Project will replace six obsolete bridges on US 6 between Knox Court and I-25, improve traffic movements in the I-25 and US 6 interchange and enhance driver safety by eliminating several traffic weave movements along US 6 between Federal Boulevard and I-25. Substantial project completion is planned for August 2015.

All construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change. For updated project information, visit http://www.coloradodot.info/projects/US6Bridges, call 720-881-5540 or email [email protected]
