Upcoming closure of Highway 24

November 1, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close westbound U.S. 24 at Circle Drive for one night next week to allow bridge improvements to take place on the Spring Creek Bridge.

On Tuesday, November 5, the highway will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.  Drivers will be detoured from Highway 24 to Circle Drive, and then south on Circle back to I-25.

The closures continue during the same hours on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, November 12
  • Wednesday, November 13
  • Sunday, November 17
  • Monday, November 18

CDOT is replacing bridge expansion joints as part of a maintenance project to extend the lifespan of 16 structures along I-25 and Highway 24 through Colorado Springs.
