I-70 Eagle Interchange Traffic Switch

October 17, 2013 - PROJECT UPDATE - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - EAGLE - Traffic on Eby Creek Road between Chambers and I-70 is now switched to a new configuration.

Two newly paved lanes on northbound Eby Creek Road is open to motorists, allowing for two lanes of traffic in each direction.

The intersection at Eby Creek Road and the eastbound I-70 ramps now has traffic switched onto the new roundabout configuration.  Though there will be ongoing construction near the roundabout, all existing travel and turn lanes within the project area will be maintained both during and after the roundabout transition. Currently, roundabout construction is still in progress, and work will continue in adjacent areas through November. Though this new roundabout is both safe and fully functional, motorists are still advised to drive with caution through the new traffic configuration.

This entrance will reopen fully on Monday.Sunday through Friday, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, both northbound and southbound North Eby Creek Road will experience single lane closures at Market Street for waterline installation.

PEDESTRIAN SAFETY: Pedestrians are encouraged to navigate the construction zone via the east side of the Eby Creek Bridge over I-70. Traffic control flaggers will be available during construction hours to help pedestrians cross traffic lanes.
