I-25/Highway 24 Ramp/Lane Closures Next Week

October 10, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be closing two ramps to and from Interstate 25 as part of a current bridge improvement project.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, the ramp from northbound I-25 to eastbound U.S. 24 will be closed (Exit 139) from 7:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.  While the ramp is closed, drivers should exit at Circle Drive (Exit 138), and travel east on Circle to Highway 24.

In addition, single lane closures will be in place on the ramp from southbound I-25 to eastbound U.S. 24, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct. 14, 15, and 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, and Thursday, Oct. 17, the ramp from westbound Highway 24 to southbound I-25 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Drivers can use southbound Circle to access I-25 while the ramp is closed.

The closures are necessary so CDOT can replace the expansion joints on the U.S. 24/Fountain Creek Bridges as part of a maintenance project to extend the lifespan of 16 structures along I-25 and Highway 24 through Colorado Springs.
