Statewide Plan Amendment Available for Public Review and Comment

February 18, 2011 - Statewide Transportation Plan - STATEWIDE ­­– Yesterday, February 17th, the Colorado Transportation Commission approved the release of the draft 2035 Statewide Plan Amendment for a 30-day public review and comment period. The period begins today, February 18, 2011, and concludes on March 21, 2011.

Waterline Work to Cause Delays on Wadsworth Boulevard Under US 285 This Weekend

February 18, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER— Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, February 18th, and continuing until 5 a.m. on Monday, February 21st, one lane of northbound and southbound Wadsworth Boulevard under US 285 will be closed as well as one left turn lane on the westbound US 285 off-ramp to Wadsworth Boulevard.

Drainage Work Reduces Lanes on US 285 Near Knox Court/Lowell Boulevard

February 18, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER— The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begun some drainage work on US 285 near Knox Court/Lowell Boulevard as part of a larger safety improvement project on US 285 between Federal Boulevard and Kipling Parkway.

Bridge Girder Installation to Close C-470 Next Week

February 18, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DOUGLAS COUNTY— Next week, February 20th through February 24th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will set bridge girders for the new flyover ramp from southbound Santa Fe Drive to eastbound C-470.

Bridge Work to Close I-25 Near Alameda Avenue Next Week

February 18, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER —Next week, February 20th through February 24th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will pour caissons for a portion of the new Alameda Avenue bridge over I-25.

Work on U.S. 24 Tomorrow

February 22, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO COUNTY – Guardrail repairs by the Colorado Department of Transportation will require a single lane closure on U.S. 24 tomorrow, east of Woodland Park.

Bridge Deck Work to Impact Traffic on Arapahoe Road at Parker Road Thursday Night and Saturday

February 23, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - ARAPAHOE COUNTY – On Thursday, February 24th and Saturday, February 26th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will install bridge deck panels for the portion of the new Parker Road bridge over westbound Arapahoe Road. The work will require various lane closures during the evening on Thursday and all day Saturday.

Striping to Close the I-25 HOV/Tolled Express Lanes Tomorrow

February 23, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER —Tomorrow, February 24th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close the I-25 HOV/Tolled Express Lanes between Downtown Denver and US 36 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for restriping. The lanes will reopen by 3 p.m. to northbound traffic.

Highway 86 Improvement Project Begins

February 24, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - CASTLE ROCK – Work is underway to reconstruct a large portion of State Highway 86 (Founders Parkway) between Interstate 25 and the Founders Parkway/Ridge Road/5th Street intersection.

Highway 115 - Gate 5 Project Begins

February 25, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – Work is underway to improve traffic movements at the intersection of State Highway 115 and Fort Carson’s Gate 5.
