This document shall be used only as a reference. It is intended to provide an example of a CDOT Local Agency project materials documentation that conforms to the documentation requirements outlined in the Field Materials Manual. This is also an example of how an electronic project book is set up for an audit; your specific project may differ in types of items to include at which time refer to the 2022 Field Materials Manual to meet all guidelines.
The purpose of the addendum is to offer uniform and detailed guidelines for pavement design on CDOT highway projects. This addendum shall be used as a supplement to the 2021 CDOT M-E Pavement Design Manual. Please contact the Pavement Design and Documentation Program Manager with any questions.
The purpose of this Pavement Design Manual is to provide CDOT and consulting designers with uniform and detailed procedures for designing pavements on CDOT highway projects. This 2021 manual is to be used after July 1, 2020 until June 30, 2023. This site also includes the "M-E Design Files and Templates".
As of August 11, 2019, CDOT will no longer be giving consultant access to M-E Design licenses. Instead, these files are now zipped and the user must download and unzip them. If you need further instructions, please contact Melody Perkins, the Pavement Design Documentation Program Manager.
